Published entry requirements

Clinical / academic eligibility
  • Spine physician or orthopaedic, neurosurgery or trauma specialist with a strong spine interest
  • Participation in at least one AO course or event
  • At least two years of AO Spine membership before application
  • No AO Spine fellowship in the preceding two years, except a self-funded fellowship
  • Up to 45 years old at application
Registration, licence & examinations

The host centre determines the permitted clinical role. AO Spine host-centre status does not replace any licence or hospital credential required locally.

Visa / work authorisation

Travel, visa and insurance arrangements remain the fellow's responsibility unless the selected host confirms otherwise.
