Clinical / academic eligibility
  • Full-paying, resident or young member of a national hand society holding full FESSH membership
  • Lives and works in Europe
  • Previous successful candidates are not awarded the fellowship again within 5 years

  • Two-page CV including attendance at FESSH events and research presentations/publications
  • One recommendation letter from the applicant's head of training
  • 500-word personal statement (commitment to hand surgery, learning goals, ambitions, benefit to applicant and to European hand surgery)
  • Written confirmation that the money will be returned if the travel does not occur
