About Khoula Hospital
Khoula (Khawlah) Hospital in Muscat was established in 1974 as Oman’s first surgical hospital and is now a Ministry of Health general directorate with more than 2,300 staff. Official MoH materials describe specialised services including orthopaedics, hand surgery, neurosurgery and spinal surgery, accident and emergency care, rehabilitation and prosthetics/orthotics, and recognition as an educational centre for orthopaedics, neurosurgery and plastic surgery with fellowship programmes.
