  • Physician holding a valid medical licence and practising outside Japan, or enrolled full-time in a residency/fellowship programme at a foreign institution
  • Proof of English or Japanese proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS or CEFR only) if English is not the first language
  • Application submitted directly by the applicant (no agencies or intermediaries)
  • Recommendation letter from the director of the applicant's hospital or university
  • Immunisation record with positive serology and IGRA result
