Application approach
OrthoFellow keeps society approval, official call terms, current application status, stipend evidence and hospital-specific facts separate. A published ISKSAA, IAS, BOS or NBEMS pathway supports discovery, but it does not automatically prove that a future vacancy is open or that an overseas surgeon has hands-on access.
NBEMS fellowships have an examination and admission process distinct from hospital certificates or society attachments. International candidates should check the Fellowship Programme for International Students and its specialty-specific eligibility; the NBEMS route should not be assumed to apply to every programme bearing the word fellowship.
- Confirm whether the pathway is a society fellowship, NBEMS/FNB programme, hospital-based clinical fellowship, travelling fellowship, observership, research post or private-institute attachment.
- Check MS/DNB/orthopaedic qualification level, society membership, age limits, nationality or SAARC/international applicant rules where the source publishes them.
- Review whether hands-on operative participation, observation, research, ward work, case logs and conference attendance are explicitly described.
- Confirm stipend, accommodation, fee, travel support, conference registration and local hospital credentialing directly with the host before paying or travelling.
- Use city pages to compare Mumbai, New Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Panchkula, Mohali, Pune and other documented hubs by subspecialty and official-source depth.
