PROGRAM OVERVIEW

What this program offers

One consolidated profile for EFORT's European robotic-arthroplasty travelling-fellowship network. The last published programme ran in 2024 and is complete, so OrthoFellow preserves its verified institutions, eligibility, documents and funding while clearly marking that no newer call is currently available.

BENEFITS & SUPPORT

Published benefits and support

EFORT organised the itinerary and logistics. Sundays and Wednesdays were travel days, Saturdays were free, and accepted fellows rotated through six host sites.

Benefits may depend on appointment type, training level, visa status and the active academic year. OrthoFellow keeps stipend and benefits separate so a salary figure is not mistaken for the full package.

ACCOMMODATION & RELOCATION

Published housing information

✓ Official source mentions accommodation

Accommodation is mentioned in the published funding or benefits information: The published 2024 fellowship grant covered all accommodation and travel expenses

Housing availability, rent, deposits, utilities and relocation support can change by intake and appointment type. OrthoFellow does not estimate living costs unless an official source publishes them.

Host faculty selected by EFORT for each travelling slot is listed in the cited programme evidence as fellowship supervisor / program leadership for EFORT Robotic Travelling Fellowship Network. The verified individual profile describes a focus in Hip & Knee training and clinical practice. This association does not by itself confirm personal supervision, operative privileges or availability for a future intake.

Host faculty selected by EFORT for each travelling slot is listed by the official programme source as fellowship supervisor / program leadership. A separate individual short CV has not yet been verified by OrthoFellow.

Names and fellowship roles come from the cited programme source. A green “individual profile verified” label means the position, qualifications and biography were also checked against an official personal or institutional profile. OrthoFellow displays a portrait only when it can be tied to an official profile or faculty source; otherwise the host institution brandmark is shown, with initials retained only when neither image is available. Faculty rosters may change.

PROGRAM HISTORY

Published fellowship history

The programme launched in 2019, paused during the COVID-19 pandemic, resumed in 2022 and completed a four-slot European programme in 2024. EFORT reports 11 fellows and 17 centres across eight countries in the 2022–2023 phase.

APPLICANT PROFILE

European orthopaedic surgeons from the eligible countries who were one year before to three years after national surgical qualification
